How to Resume Failed Download File on Chrome and Internet Download Manager 2020

Many of us face a problem where we download a file tody but unfortunately couldn't complete to due to any reason. So I present you with the solution for this but on the computer, we will cover our beloved smartphone later. So will be doing this with the help of a software named Internet Download Manager, yes, you guessed it right this is the same software which we discussed in my previous post.

So., Let's Get Technical

We have already seen how to download and install this in my previous post (link is below). So we will cover this Entire thing in 4 super-simple steps.

Step 1: Setup IDM

If you are following my blog then you probably already learned this but if not then no worries follow the blog and read my previous article here.

Step 2: Locate Your File to Resume

Now fire up your software and find the file which you want to resume and just try to resume it maybe it works this time fingers crossed, if not then we need to refresh the download address of the file let's jump to the next step.

Step 3: Refresh Download Address

Now there are two methods for this either automatically or manually. I will cover both here no worries. The automatic method is fully automatic LOL. IDM is a smart software it will automatically provide you with the option to refresh your download address just you have to do is click on the yes option and it will open the downloading page for you automatically and you just have to re-download the file and it will start resuming automatically. So let's suppose you are one of the unluckiest people and you have to do all your stuff manually. So let's cover the manual method. After locating the file right-click on it and look for the option "Refresh Download Address" and click on it now it will open the downloading page for you just re-download it and jump to the next step.

Step 4: Resume Your Download

Now click on it and head up and click on the option "Resume" and you will see that your file will resume this time. This step is only required in the manual method as the file will automatically resume in the first method hence it is not required.
