In the previous post, I covered a technique to resume failed or corrupted download in computer and that was really a successful trick. So, as I promised that I will be bringing a similar technique but for our beloved Android Phone, so here it is.
So.., Let's Get Technical
So let me just brief you on what we are actually going to do here. So first of all, we will seek help with an application available on Google Playstore obviously if Android was that smart as it seems to be then why would we required to use third-party apps, so the name of this special talented application is ADM (Advanced Download Manager) seems similar to IDM, and why not ADM is the grandson of IDM. You will find the download link for the application down below so don't panic. So ADM works really similar to IDM so we will use the same technique "Refresh Download Address" method here as well.
We will be doing our stuff in 4 simple and easy to follow steps.
Step 1: Install and Setup the App
So the very first step is as usual Installation of the app and then set it up. So in order to install it, there is a direct download link to the Playstore download page below just click it and you will be redirected to that page thank me later. So after the installation let's set it up so open your app it will be asking for the Storage permission so just click on allow so that it can do its stuff without any problem. Now open the side menu by clicking on the top left 3 lines and now make sure "Simultaneous Download" is set to 1 so that it can provide you with the maximum download speed or you can set it accordingly. Now for the next option check whether "Threads per Download" and "Download Speed" are set to max. Now the last and the most important option scroll down and turn on "Dark Mode" I personally love dark mode, but you can set it as you like. Now jumping to the next step.
Step 2: Find Your File
Look for the file you would like to resume or download in this tutorial I don't have any file to resume so I will be downloading a new one, and I will be downloading Windows ISO file here. By the way if you don't know how to download Windows ISO file there is a link to my previous post you can watch that and learn really quick. So in order to download anything using ADM you just have to tap and hold on the download link or button of the file and now go for the option "Share Link" and now in the following window select ADM. Please mind ADM, not ADM Browser. Now a downloading tab will be opened in front of you so just tap on "Start" to start the download immediately or tap on "Add" to download later. I'm gonna tap "Start" obviously so by now our downloading has started. So let's go to the next step.
Step 3: Refresh Download Address
In this step, I will cover today's main topic. So open your app now search for the file you like to resume and refresh its link. Now select it and tap on the pencil type icon above and in the newly opened window tap on the browser icon above and this will automatically open the downloading page for you on ADM Browser which comes with this app. And from there just re-download your file and again a window similar to the first opened window will appear but with some more options included. Now in this just tap on "Refresh" and this will refresh your download link and below there are three more option which are used to start the download from the beginning but why would you do that but I had to give you this particular information. So now let's get to the last step.
Step 4: Resume Your File
The file should resume automatically as soon as you tap on "Refresh" but sometimes it doesn't so we will do this manually by going in the app and simply tapping on the file to resume and it will start resuming without any further problem.
